Israel has previously evacuated a fair bit of land from the Gaza Strip and in exchange put more cities into danger as Hamas was able to extend its rockets' range.

Britain's mandate of the land of palestine ended when their grasp on the land became weak. They allowed a jewish nation to be built within this land before backing out of the mandate. The arabs refused to allocate that land to the jews and opened war on them. After a few embarrassing wars the jews pushed the arabs back and formed the borders as we know them nowadays. This war started because the Hamas, which refuses to see Israel as a country never stopped fighting them, which therefore drove to the current chain of events as a response. Imo this is justified as they have the right to protect their citizens from the Hamas' attacks against their people. Also the whole 'stop killing civilians' is complete rubbish as Hamas is targeting the population of Israel unlike the IDF which attempts to have as least civilian casualties as possible. This is my conclusion after keeping track of this endless your momma fight. Anyone is welcome to shed some light if I missed out on something.

Hamas is foolish, they claim they want freedom for their people but are prepared to offer thousands of people and keep going when the israeli's suffer close to no casualties.
