lol ff9 storyline was boring and simple, charas are retarded..wtf is that shit freija? lol@ vivi :<, etc, etc. the only good thing about ff9 was the sfx sequence. ff8 had mini-games, secret places, secret bosses, all kind of fights, maybe squal sucked with his attitude, but overall game still way better than ff9, and the storyline is comparable to ff7 and previous ff's.

this game, after ff8 went downhill, hence i stopped caring about ff since ff10.

it was good enough as a memory to be rehashed into Kingdom hearts... you dont see 9 char's do you? just 7 and 8 characters

FF8 absolutely fuckin sucked, As a matter of fact all FF games after 7 have sucked.
I go play FF3 now.

Just to clarify, I didn't hate 9, and I really liked 10, once I learned how to ignore the main character and focus on the awesome game itself.

And yes, I liked FF8. Sue me.

I just got the remake of 4 for my DS, but I want to finish FFTA2 first.

FF9 was a breathe a fresh air, instead of your non talkative emo characters (Squall, Cloud) you got a energetic character in Zidane. The story was very solid overall nothing too great but not bad by any means, the game had some problems with the battle system (random pauses made it slow) but still was a solid installment. Where ff8 in retrospect had perhaps one of the worst battle systems ever in a FF game, a terrible main character in Squall, lolol gunblades, and who didn't love to see the 2-3 minute Gf's animation 100+ times.

Any FF game>>>>>>>>>>>>>>FF8

I will agree the freaking summons cut scenes in ff8 are one of the reasons I don't replay it.

Still - I'll take Squall over Tidus anyday. Squall was annoying and moody. Tidus was just flat out a dick.

That's not to say I'd take ff8 over ff10. 8 had a bad main character, 10 had a downright horrible one. 10 was still a far superior game though.

i didnt like squall at all lol, and you could desable that Gf's animation at options...and wtf ff8 had map to explore...ff9 is the cheapest ff i have seen, no secret bosses, places, lands!!!, Gf. wtf? even pacman has secret lvls!!!

FF9 had secret/optional bosses first of all and plenty of sidequests, but for me the battle system ruined ff8. How does just repeatedly slamming X to draw magic for the next hour sound!? Very Happy
